
Parsons Paris, a school of art and design located in central Paris, is currently seeking a new Director of Admissions.
Parsons Paris School of Art + Design promotes the artistic and intellectual maturation of promising students into exceptional professional artists, designers and design managers through a rigorous art, design and liberal arts education.
Parsons Paris emphasizes the ethical role of creative disciplines, viewing art and design practice as meaningful and necessary contributions to society. Contemporary methods of visual production are taught on the foundation of traditional skills in the fine arts. The school aims to be a supportive, creative community of committed students, faculty, administration and alumni.

Job responsibilities:
Management
Energetically lead the Admissions and Student Recruitment team in an increasingly competitive international environment:
· Staff, supervise, train and manage an Admissions team in an inspirational and creative manner.
· Define priorities and goals for the Admissions Department.
· Execute performance reviews for Admissions Department, initiate disciplinary actions and reward those who excel in their work.
· Manage vacancy scheduling.
Recruitment
Define and implement recruitment strategy and develop new approaches for admissions success:
· Partner with the Marketing Department and provide feedback to ensure steady prospective student lead flow.
· Develop and oversee recruitment budget, define itineraries for roadwork and implement recruitment plan.
· Oversee the distribution of marketing materials, in print and electronic form, to student prospect leads, school contacts and recruiters on site.
· Supervise student recruitment, overseeing Admissions team as well as taking an active part in formal and informal student interviews, recruitment at Student Fairs and School Visits, organization and implementation of Open House events, and following applicant files.
Admissions and Financial Assistance
Manage the Admissions teams’ day-to-day student admissions and financial assistance processes for full-time undergraduate and graduate students, visiting, certificate, Atelier of Art, and Continuing Education students:
· Convene admissions decision committee and issues decision letters
· Receive financial assistance applications, prepare files for decisions, convene and chair scholarship committee, and issue decision letters
· Prepare and distribute acceptance packet and manage new student yield in order to achieve enrolment targets.
· Prepare transfer credit evaluations
· Work with academic departments in defining and communicating new policies and changes that impact enrolment
The key duties for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:· French and English fluency
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong knowledge of Art and Design disciplines, preferably with at least an undergraduate degree in these fields.
· Ability to motivate and inspire employees
· Ability to work a flexible schedule and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
· A minimum of 6 years of Admission experience
· Proven track record of leadership, innovation and business acumen
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet applications
· Proven track record of organizational, relationship management and communication skills
The Director of Admissions reports directly to the Executive Director, with whom he or she will work intensely and closely. The Director of Admissions also works closely with the Academic Director, the Financial Controller and the Marketing and Operations Director.
